Sigma DM-4, made in Korea, purple label, and I assume it is a 1981 based upon the serial number. Great sounding guitar in great condition. Pictures show condition. Some marks on the soundboard look like dings but are really in the wood grain and I tried to show this in pics. Ask questions if you are unsure about something you see. Overall, there are no large dings or any problems I am aware of. Fret wear is typical for its age.

I know the main question most people have is the neck and action. I tried to show in pics also, but that is difficult. The neck looks straight to me.
The saddle is low, but the action is also and plays well.
I have a GCS 4 made in Korea. ( made most likely 1984) that I picked up in a thrift store for the price of a case of beer. However the rosette on my sigma is very plain compared to yours. I too have not run across the model number, which may help to narrow the production of the guitar down, try mudcatcafe.com, someone there might know. Have you tried the blue book on acoustic guitars. Last night I made a recording with my guitar.
You can listen at: It could be cheap but it got a great sound! I´m paying 2 cases of beer if you want to sell yours. Thank you guys!! I´m not an expert. As I see the Sigma is a cheap instrument.
I´m surprised becouse it looks nice, sounds good and is very confortable to play I thought it got a better value. I got mine from a friend and I paid for it with some boss effect pedals that I was not using.
I think I did good trade anyway it sounds like an expesive guitar and I´m sure I will keep it. I think many folks to pick up a Sigma are surprized - but these are essentially Martin clones made using exact Martin specs, just typically laminate for back and sides versus solid, and less expensive tuners.
So frankly its no wonder they sound great, and are great guitars. I recently bought a Sigma DR-35 (A D-35 clone) for my god-daughter. A great guitar. A paid a few hundred in Canada.
I think it's keeper for sure. They are not being made anymore and getting harder to find. So while inexpensive - they are not 'cheap' in my mind at all.
Last night I made a recording with my guitar. You can listen at: It could be cheap but it got a great sound! I´m paying 2 cases of beer if you want to sell yours AS my signature suggests I also have a DR7-12, 12 string with rosewood back and sides, a very 12 string. I ch I added the Martin/Fishman pickup to the Grand concert I also changed out the tuners for gold and ivorid, and put on a tortise pick guard, and have another pickup to put into the 12 string. I don't think I will ever part with either one.
Little invested in either, and both are great looking an great sounding.
